Is it really free – what's the catch?
Yes. The base version is free for labs and clinics, with no credit card required. Premium plans and a marketplace are planned for later and will be optional.
Do my customers (clinics) have to pay?
No. Clinics use edonto for free – sending cases, cost estimates, tracking, calendar and invoices. That's what makes it easy to invite all of them.
Can I import my price list and customers?
You build your price list from the master catalog of ~280 items plus your own items, then set prices per customer or group. Customers are added as records – as shadow customers if they aren't on edonto yet. If you have a large list, get in touch and we'll help you bring it in.
Who sees patient data?
By default a lab sees initials, record number, age and sex – not the patient's name. Access inside a clinic or lab is controlled by roles, and every organization only sees its own data and the cases it shares.
What if my lab or my clinic isn't on edonto yet?
Labs can add any clinic as a shadow customer, record cases and invoices for it and invite it whenever it's ready – the clinic then takes over its record. Clinics can sign up on their lab's portal or ask their lab for an invitation, and they can work with several labs in parallel.
Does it work on a phone in the lab?
Yes. Technicians get a phone-friendly “My work” view with their steps and timers; job tickets carry a QR code that opens the case. All of edonto works on desktop, tablet and phone.
Will there be a marketplace?
Yes, it's planned: clinics will be able to find labs by service, region and turnaround time. It will be optional for labs – and clinics that come through your portal or invitation will never see it.
