Security & privacy

Patient work needs trust.

edonto handles patient-related information and the business data of labs and clinics. Here is how we protect it – factual and without buzzwords.

How edonto protects your data

Patient data minimization

Patient records belong to the clinic and stay there. For each case, the lab receives a snapshot with only what it needs – by default initials, record number, age and sex.

Owners and administrators of a clinic decide whether labs may see full names. The setting applies to new cases.

Separate organizations

Every record belongs to an organization – a lab or a clinic. Each organization only sees its own data. Cases and invoices are shared only between the lab and the clinic involved, and every request is checked against these rules.

Roles and permissions

Teams work with roles – owner, administrator, dentist, assistant, lab manager, technician, driver and accountant. For example, only owners, administrators and dentists see prices, and only billing roles manage invoices.

Secure sign-in

Accounts are protected with a verified email address. Two-factor authentication with an authenticator app and passkeys are available for every user.

History of every change

Status changes, messages and files are recorded on the case with time and author. Issued invoices can't be changed afterwards – corrections are made with credit notes.

Hosting and data processing

We will publish where edonto is hosted and our data processing agreement (LGPD/GDPR) before the public launch.
